I tried to search it, but I was probably using the wrong keywords. Anyways, I saw one post that led me to import toys, but they didn't have the product anymore. I've emailed them and I've gotten no response from them. Does anyone know of any custom made mounting brackets for the SC400 that is sold to the public? I'm not willing to shell out another $200 dollars to have a shop make a custom one for me. Any help is appreciated, thanks all!
well, i searched too, but no one really makes a kit. here is what i did
took a single din player, backloaded it on the brackets, grabbed a din size pocket and then made a wood iece to fill in the other gap then vinyled the wood. to me that's the best way to do it. that way you can have some storage up front, and the gap is gone. if you need pics i'll take some, but it's late in te night for right now.
cost for all that material is like 20 - 30 bucks at most if you can install your own stereo. pocket is gonna run about 15 and then a small piece of wood (if you have to buy it) probably like 5 bucks, then vinyl like another 5 bucks.

How did you backload the single din player....Please explain. Thanks!
The deck is a direct bolt in at the top of the brackets (right under the heater controls) You can ISO mount it in there with no problems.
I made a 1.5 DIn pocket out of 1/4" MDF (fibreboard) and painted it Krylon Semi-flat black. Looks better than a DIN pocket plus a .5 DIN cover plater IMO.

yeah, that's what i meant iso mount it. doing that 1.5 pocket is nice, i jsut didn't have time to do it, cuase the din pocket was right there for me anyways. that would definately be the way to go.
