Drawing too many amps when off
93 SC 300, stock Pioneer audio with CD changer. If the car sits for several days, the battery runs down dead. I checked and it's discharging 0.7 to 1.5 amps when the car is shut off. If I pull fuse #23 under the hood, the discharge drops to 0.07 amps. That fuse is listed as being for the radio, cassette deck, CD changer, and power antenna. So I think there is a problem in the audio system.
As another clue (maybe), sometimes the speakers make popping noises, even when the car is turned off.
Suggestions for troubleshooting? I'm not going to put in an aftermarket system and I don't want to just replace parts without getting it isolated first.
Thanks,
Don M

Follow up info:
I found some water in the bottom of the quarter panel under the amp. I took out the amp and changer. Everything looked okay but who knows. I got rid of the water and hopefully found and fixed the source. I'm guessing the smaller drain tube was the problem. It was fairly well plugged at the end. I'm leaving the trunk panel off so I can keep an eye on it. Anyway, on to the electrical stuff:
With only head unit and antenna connected, the draw is 0.32a.
Add back the amp, the draw is 0.62a. Seems high already?
Add back the CD changer, the draw constantly fluctuates between ~0.6 and 1.7a. That can't be right.
Seems like the changer is messed up. I had it rebuilt a year or so ago. Everytime I look at it the little white arrow button, eject I think, is lit up. Is that right?

Yes, the cd changer gets 12v when you open the trunk (the courtesy switch A7 is grounded). This is so you can swap the cartridge without the car being on. Closing the trunk opens that switch again so the power should shut off.
