hi i was wondering if anybody runs 7" or 8" drivers for their componets for the fronts? or 6.5" are the biggest ?

I think you probably could if the clearance is not even a hair more than 3 1/4 inches. I had trouble getting a baffle built to handle my 6.5 inch CDT Audio EuroSports with 3 1/4 inch clearance. It just depends on the speakers and your installer.

 

well imma do this with a friend he's gonna teach my little about audio, but i wanna see if anybody have tried using 7inch or 8inch drivers for their gs. and if you have, was it hard to do? i know some of you used 6.5, but has anybody try going bigger

 

The opening in the door is quite big and should fit with a properly made baffle board. Like someone said the biggest concern is how deep the speaker is because it will get in the way of the windows when you roll them all the way down.

 

Take out the metal cutter, I'm using 8" Morel's in my front doors.
