Default Latest Nav Version for LS430

Just wondering what the latest version of Nav CD the dealer will install if you get an upgrade.
My Lexus dealer says Ver o5 .1 is the latest.
I would think that 06 would be out there by now.

Thanks,
Tony

5.1 is the latest...the "06" version won't be out 'til late fall to winter this year.

is this something where you have to have the nav dvd loaded all the time or is it one of those things where you just load it once and store the dvd?

It's a DVD Disc you leave in the Player (Trunk)..

I wish we had another GROUP BUY soon as my local dealer is charging $450.00 for an upgrade and said that he can "HOOK ME UP" for $300.00 + Installation which is 1 Hour Labor @ $88.00/Hour..

So basically it will be about $400.00 Out the door......

Most online places sell the DVD for $250, installation should be free because all you do is pop it in. I bought mine from lexus of roseville or something his email is mmolini@lexusofroseville.net

Default Nav DVD install is easy

The Nav system electronics is on the right side of the trunk under an easily removable panel. I replaced the DVD in around an hour total.

Make sure you buy the correct DVD. The newer LS430s use a different DVD than the older 430s.
