You know, I forgot to bring up something when I picked my car up. I am sitting there in the dealership going through the endless buying process and a guy comes in to look at the IS300 that is right next to us. I am sort of overhearing what they are talking about and at one point the conversation turns to the stereo. The brochure said there were some number of speakers but the customer counted the grills and came up short. The salesman then told him that there were two speakers under what looked like 6X9 grills in the back. Is Lexus trying to pass off a two way as two separate speakers? Gosh that seems chintzy. I am not sure the guy looking at the car, who wanted a stick anyway, was buying it.

As far as I remember, it's only one 6x9 per cover. No dual speaker setups.

There are only 2 6x9s in the rear deck. Maybe it was miscommunication? Some salesmen probably dont realize the difference in a 2 way speaker and 2 seperate speakers.

Not meant to say anything negative about the IS. Maybe next time I am in for service, I will pick up a brochure and count grills, just like the guy did the first time. Not only seems chintzy but an approach that is likely to not work. Even the guy in the dealership, who was an older guy, had a problem with the description.

Just curious. Thanks.
