I have already done a search with no results. What I want to know is it possible to run a power cable (0/1gauge) from the battery to the trunk without putting a hole thruogh the fire wall of an Ls 430. For example can the wire be run under the car and brought through the trunk? Any pros or cons in doing this.

 

I've seen it done before (not an LS) when i used to install, the guy (DIY) used pvc piping to run along side the undercarriage. the piping was secured using clamps w/ rubber inserts.
the wire entered through the trunk vent in the corner.
It seemed to work fine, but its a pain to go to so much trouble. especially when the job it could have been done in an hour, instead of a day.
