After fruitless hours of searching, I cannot find where this cable goes. A picture of exactly what it connects with is the only thing that may do justice. Here is a picture of the cable itself:

It looks to me like a coax cable, the kind that would connect to a CB radio. The connector appear to be the type that is called a "UHF" connector.

Perhaps a previous owner had installed a CB radio and that is what's left of the CB antenna cable.

Anyway, that's my guess.

 

I was talking to JJG2005 for a while and he thought it connected to a cable in his car, that it was factory. My thinking is that it is factory as well since my radio fades in and out, and I thought this cable could be a ground.
