Hello all,

Just got a RX300 for my wife and wanted to see if anyone could tell me this rumor I heard has any validity to it. I was told that on the 2001 Lexus models you can watch movies since the Navigation is DVD based. Is this true? And where the hell is the navigation unit? I looked everywhere!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Mark

Default nope

sorry Mark. The Navigation system does not have DVD movie capabilities. In the LX 470 there is DVD ability, because that vehicle line has a dedicated DVD movie player. This option does not exist in SC, GS, LS, or RX model vehicles.

mark the RX300 can come with the NAV if you paid for it, if you have it, it will be in place of the blue screen on the dash and yes for $250 you can add a DVD player to the NAV at the dealership or if you look in the RX300 forum some peeps found a way to get the DVD upgrade free on the older RX's
