ok, so i use a tape adapter for my ipod to listen to music in my car. however, last week, i went on a long trip and after roughly 3 hours of playing, the stereo just stopped. i tried turning it back on but nothing happened. previously i had used the tape adapter and ipod combo for extended periods of time with no problems at all

so i came home today and i checked the fuse for the stereo. sure enough it was blown, so i went and got a new one with the same amp rating. now at least i can turn the stereo on, but it makes this loud clicking/thumping noise that is not controlled by the volume.

any ideas?
