Why is my dash smoking?!?!
Yet another problem with the SC... tonight we where getting ready to leave church and we turned the car and lights on, then we see smoke coming out of the window defroster on the driver side. We turned the car off and started looking for the problem. We noticed that it would only do it after we turned the headlights on; it didn't matter if the car was on or off. We just had a cd changer hooked up today and an amp yesterday, so that might have something to do with it, but I wouldn't think that there would be a ground or anything in that vacinity.
Any help would be VERY much appreciated. All these problems are getting really frustrating.

PS- keep those headlights off!
Have the intaller look at all the conection, And check the power cable caming from the batt to the
amp and the remote turn ON wire. Some intaller allways go wrong with this one. You know if you can be a little more specific with your set-up I can be of more help. I need to know are you using the stock radio if yes the installe should have used a rellay for the remote turn-ON wire
and tap to the power ouput off the back of the radio that goes to the stock amp. It sound to me
like there is a short some where bihind the radio. This is a cammond problem when you keep your stock radio and do sound mods only if the installer is not experience.

The car lot that we bought the car from did the work. We took it back to them and they thought that it was the power wire also, but it turns out that it's in the alarm system (aftermarket) so we are going in after it.
Thanks for the help.
