93' SC400 rear-speaker problem
Gang:
My pass-side back speaker no longer works.
I'm wondering if you all know what to check as I'm getting no volume from it when I fade and balance straight to the one speake. I'm thinking it's probably a wiring/connector or maybe a fuse-related issue? If it were blown, I would figure sounds would come from it and be distorted like typical speakers that are blown sound like.
Also, if I I decide to replace these speakers which connect to the stock Nakamichi system, what wattage/quality should I replace the stock ones with? I believe they are 6 1/2" in diameter.
Thanks.
KF

If you'll search, you'll find there are several posts on this very subject. You'll read that before blaming the amp, be sure to connect the wires to a speaker that you know for sure is working, because individual speakers do blow, like mine did.
There's many after-market speakers that will work fine- search to see what others have used. I used an Infinity Kappa, but Polks are fine and other brands- it is hard to go wrong, and the Nak amp has enough juice for most 4", 5.25" or 6.5" speakers - the stock speakers are very good, but so are a lot of other brands (and cost less than stealership's markup) .
