Theft & Navigation System

If a Lexus RX 330 were stolen and the thief let run the Navigation System, could the SUV somehow be tracked? No Lexus link system is installed.

I think there is an optional device to trace your car if it's stolen. When I got my RX330 the dealer'd asked that option..
