Default Water in trunk = fried amp..missing box?

Is there supposed to be a plastic box on the passenger side of the rear wheel well?

I see the two drain tubes and I got all the sitting water out (I think it fried the amp)
I'm unsure of if i'm missing a box or what back there. The tubes were just sitting there and the hole is larger than the tubes so should I seal this thing up, get the box. or whats the deal?

Rubens

PS - can I use later model nakamichi amps (98 gs300) which put out the same power, or is it different connectors and stuff? (I have a 97 SC400)

yes there is....what you need to do is to take everything apart and yank that tube out ofhole in the trunk....then take that tube and clean it...this is your overflow from the gas tank...which can also get water when it rains...there could be some other things you should look for but i dont know how much water you have in your tank...
