I have the NVE-N852 alpine navigation system. MY question is can i use another brand head unit to display?? like a PIONEER or KENWOOD or CLARION or other .. ?

Will i lose some functionality if i use another manufactures head unit?

Well look on the navi system and see if it has an rca type video out wire? Alpine is really tight about using only alpine monitors for their navigation. Most likely it would have a RGB type of video output which would require an alpine monitor or flip out screen.

 

I got a special wire which converts from RGB to RCA so i can use any screens. Just wondering if i will lose some functionality like the voice guidance if i go with another HU..
