Talking Lexus systems are okay,"10" Sub

Hey everybody I am new to the Lexus game, over the weekend I just bought 98' Lexus GS 300 the car is in great shape and it rides nice & smooth. Can anybody tell me, can I take out the "10" sub and replace it with a different woofer, without buying an amp to power the new woofer? I got the Lexus (pioneer system), overall the system is pretty bad, for this to be a luxury car. I need more bass and I dont want to buy a whole new system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI, welcome, i would do a quick search here on the audio forums to see if anyone has any tips for removing the sub. I do know that you have to take out the entire back seat and then the rear deck to remove the subwoofer. I know that some ppl have used free air after market subs...and also some have made a small box and built it rite under the rear deck.

myself, i took out the sub, cut my rear deck, and custom mounted a jl 12w7 sub...built the box in the trunk w/ the sub firing rite into the cabin
