Default no sound from speakers

All of the speakers except the sub have stopped working in my 92 SC400. This was just after 6in of snow melted off the car. Do you think this is just a coincidence? Anyone have an idea where to start looking? Thanks

if you have the nak setup, check underneath the cd changer to see if the amp is wet, etc.

THE LAST SC OWNER I ADVISED TO CHECK UNDER AMP FOUND A BLOCK OF ICE UNDER THE CD CHANGER AND AMP BRACKET FROM WATER THAT HAD LEAKED INTO THE TRUNK. IT CAN LEAK THROUGH TRUNK LIP GASKET, LEFT TAILITE GASKET OR THE AIRBOX UNDER THE AMP.

I had the same problem aftera snow storm: my dash lights would stay on and the stereo muted.

I removed a 15 amp fuse under the hood labled "TEL" I figured that this might be a Phone connection. When I pulled it the lights went out. But the Stereo was still muted. The next day I tried blowing out the radio amp and the alarm brain. In the drivers rear I found a Wire harness that looked as if it had been cooked. I unplugged it and the tunes returned.

There is a hose on the Drivers-side and I think the Passenger-side as well, under the tire jack. this hose allows water to drain. In my case the hose came out and water leaked into the car, onto the wires. causing my problems.

Hope this helps!
