Default Cell phone removal - hints?

Has anyone been able to remove the factory cell phone? My '92 SC300 has the Lexus cell phone that's inside the center console/armrest. I've removed the phone itself (real no brainer) but the "stump" that the phone sits on/plugs in to won't come off.

It's strange - I've searched on "phone removal" and "cell removal" with some mentions of it, and mentions of a writeup, but no dice.

Anyhow, back at the hinge of the center console are 2 screws hidden by felt/rubber plugs. Under the mat at the bottom of the console are 2 10mm bolts. I believe there's another 10mm bolt under the phone stump, since it would be in-line wih the one on the side, and the console feels like it's secured on that side.

Man, I can't wait to get a shop manual - I hate not being able to flip through a book for the answer . I know the RX-7 shop manuals backwards and forwards .

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Dale

I took mine out about 6 months ago and don't remember the exact steps. I know that I got the info on here, but I just did a search and came up empty-handed also. But I do believe those are the only screws you have to take out. I think I just yank on the charging base hard enough to take it out. A piece of plastice may have been broken off, but I didn't care since I wasn't going to reuse to the phone. It will be worth the trouble to free up all that room in the center console. Good luck.
