Hello . I'm new to this forum and just recently purchased 1995 SC 400. Nakamichi premium sound system with 12 disc cd changer. Shortly after purchasing the car I started having stereo problems. It's hard to explain the sound but I would say it 's a wavering sound when playing radio, tape and cd player. Similiar to a poor reception radio station. Volume is strong. I vaguely recall it happening when I was switching from cd to radio but remember thinking a cd had gotten jammed. But when I switched to radio it continued. I live in San Antonio, TX and took it to lexus and they referred me to a local radio repair man because no one there had experience with radio repair. Radio repair man removed amplifier and stated amp was o.k. Had no way of testing the Nakamichi head unit so I purchased a used head unit off E-Bay after lexus told me they wanted $1000.00 for a rebuilt unit.

Just received new head unit and hooked it up and it continues to do the same thing. Major setback.
I'm hoping someone here can offers some ideas as to what is causing this problem. Thanks to all who
