One day I took out the CD changer from my 1994 sc300 (stock 12 disc). I tried to put it back in a couple of days later and no, for no reason whatsoever, it does not work.

When i plug it all back in and close the changer door with or without the cartridge, I just makes a repeating noise as if it is trying to bring the cartridge into place but it cant. It will make this noise for like one minute then finally just give up and the display on the HU will read Error.

I cant afford to get a new HU and dont really want to go with the FM modulator cd changer. The stock changer at the factory is around $800 which is rediculous. Please let me know if anyone out there has any idea why my changer is doing this? What could have caused it? How can i fix it if possible?
