I ditched the RF on mine immediately after picking up. Running 21" Pirelli P Zero summer performance although not my preferred tire of choice they grip for the most part and my first set I got over 15,000 miles out of them.

Was there an improvement in ride quality? Handling?

Had runflats on my 600 hp Jag. XKRS. So little traction. In rain drove it in Snow Mode. Super Sports transformed it. Run flats on my new AMG. Knew it within 5 miles. Brittle ride. BMW's the same. My LC500, I can't tell and never notice so never thought of changing. I have the Bridgestones which were designed for the car. Great tires.

A theoretical option is to switch to stock alternative 20" wheels+summer performance tires like Michelin Pilot Sport 4S . Check the 20" wheels clear the calipers of the Performance Package ? No contra-indications I have read.

^^^^Welcome to the forum, Lot's of GREAT information here I'm in Arizona. I bought my LC in Lincoln Nebraska. A friend and I drove it home in June of '19. As soon as I got home - The first change I made was wider wheels and Michelin PS4S tires. 255/40/21 in front and 295/35/21 in back. A BIG Improvement

You've mentioned before how the change you made had a significant impact (for the better) on your LC. Would you say the improvement is attributed more to the Michelin tires or the wider wheels? I'm at about 26K on my tires and it's about time for a change. I'm not really inclined to go with wider wheels.

You can explore the dimensional consequences of all size options on line- like this:https://tiresize.com/tires/Lexus/LC/2018/500/
Just plug in our model to the chart. No mention of clearance or ride/handling issues. That's what Lou is here for :-).

I'd have to go with both plus with the change in offset, the track is also wider. Wheel dimensions, tire dimensions, and make and size of tire are a system. Lexus choice of wheel dimensions was a surprise and a disappointment to me The wheels are actually narrower than the wheels on the RCF and GSF and the front tires have a smaller cross section than the RCF or GSF The LC wheels carry the same widths as the 2012 and on ISF. A lighter car that in my opinion was under-wheeled and under-tired at release in 2008.

Hi I'm new to the forums and was wondering which wheels you did the wider tires on? Are they the stock sport package wheels? I'm used to running 22's on cars no run flats I don't like the limited tire options as I prefer all season. I wouldn't mind changing the tires to wider tires but I'm no expert and want to make sure I'm following your post.
Thank you.

from here he writes he's running Vossen wheels, 9½" in front and 10½" in back with 255/40/21 and 295/35/21 Michelin PS4S.

In that case can anyone suggest a tire size that would work with the factory sport package rims that would allow me to get away from run flats. I've always loved the Continental Extreme Contact DSW tires. But I'm not finding them in the stock tire size. I need something with as much sidewall as possible as pot holes are abundant in my area. I look like I'm drunk dodging pot holes in most my cars with 22s.
