why would you need a 4 door version of a coupe
for one its ugly like all the BMW and Audi 4door coupe things
call me old fashion but if you want a 4 door get a sedan
if you want a coupe look get a coupe
Just like the panamera is a 4dr 911

yeah, it all started with the MB CLS.

I drive a BMW Alpina B6, (based on the 6 series Gran Coupe) and I love the lines and low stance it has in comparaison to the sedan variant. However, all of these 4 door coupes have a very restrictive access to the rear seats and limited headroom. I used to own an CSL 63 and it had the same issues. It's a very niche market. An LC could still pull it off with style but I won't be replacing my B6 for another of the same category, back seat passengers don't smile much when I drive up to pick them up in it.

I started this thread specifically to see what some enthusiast might want to see in regards to features, powertrain, and designs in the hypothetical LC500 4 door.

195.5 inch total length
116.2 inch wheelbase
75.6 inch width
56.0 inch height

The hypothetical LC500 would look very similar to a standard LC coupé, but the biggest differentiating design changes being two additional rear doors and a liftback tailgate instead of the small trunk lid used on the coupé. Also 50/50 split folding rear seats giving it cargo capacity similar to the Audi A7.

I would love to have two to three engine options to select from.
3.5l bi-turbo V6 mated to a 10 speed automatic gearbox
4.0l bi-turbo V8 mated to a 10 speed automatic gearbox
3.5l V6 Hybrid

RWD standard, AWD optional. Suggested price starting at $66,400 before destination fee and options.

Direct competitors: Audi A7, Mercedes AMG GT-4, Mercedes CLS, BMW 8 series Gran Coupé.

I don't like the 4 door coupes... and I don't like convertible cars...
I had a very nice 4 door sports car, a 2017 Chevy SS, and sadly I had to let it go after a year of ownership.
Why? I didn't like the 4 doors. It takes away from the look of a sports car IMHO.
Convertibles? My 3 cents is that they look nice when you see them on a photo...everyone is smiling while letting the wind flow through their hair..
But try that at 60 MPH for 3 hours...
Most of the time the top is on and you have to live with the negative aspects of convertibles (noisier and hotter) to name a couple.
But anyway, this was a poll right? So this is my humble opinion.

I saw a 'live' one driving to work today. From the rear at least it has a bizarre, busy 'origami' look that's not attractive to my eye.
If I'm in the market for a 2-door coupe (a term that used to be redundant) I would probably get a used Jaguar XK175.

I would buy it if it looked as good as the LC and LS. But from a business standpoint they are a few years behind the trend. Coupes are already slowly dying out, a 4 door coupe wouldn't sell well. I think Lexus should make a slant back SUV. Like the X6 and GLE coupe.
