The white seats have never been available with Alcantara inserts (all-leather only) in any LC configuration - so no Sport or Performance packages with the blue/white interior. Too bad because I really like that interior color combination. Perhaps white Alcantara didn't look or hold up well. I wish they considered blue Alcantara inserts with the white leather - which I think would look great, and would have perhaps left the door open for the Sport or Performance packages.
I am loving nightfall mica blue on the LC. We have nightfall mica on our LX, and I have seen one on the LC and think it looks just as stunning, especially when paired with the 21" wheels. That brighter blue looks more appropriate for an IS or RC in my opinion.

Salt makes maintenance a bit more demanding.
Most modern cars have galvanized coatings and plastic protecting exposed metal surfaces. Given adequate maintenance, a paint sealant and avoiding serious damage to the coating, you can get by just fine.
If you’re a rally dude or just very hardcore (Subaru driver), you can additionally wax the underbody.

Extreme example. I’m talking about driving rwd coupes in urban environments/tarmac back roads here, not hunting beavers and catching salmon in the Yukon forests or offroading in the Alps.
Of course you can baby the car and only drive it on sunny Sundays but the LC is neither an old timer, nor an exotic aka potentially appreciating asset, so you’re basically just restraining yourself in order to keep the car in mint condition for the guy buying it from you some day.
On a related note, I recently brought my LC to a detailer and he was full of praise for Lexus’ build quality (precision of panel gaps, paint quality, materials used on the exterior/interior etc.) and put it above recent MB/BMW/Audi models. Anecdotal evidence, I know, but for what it’s worth, he gets to work on quite a number of spiffy cars.

I certainly agree on the build quality that Lexus achieves. I've had my ISF going on 10 years now with no plans to get rid of it. I'm lucky enough to own 2 vehicles and I try to avoid taking my ISF out in inclement weather. My truck is my DD.
And yes, I was being extreme, but seeing that LC from the rear, IMHO, was distressing to me. I grew up in NE US and remember seeing cars decaying from the weather.
If I had an LC in structural blue, I doubt I'd be taking it out in the snow. I'd be afraid of someone bumping into me on slippery streets, and having a hell of a time getting it repaired. Or heck, parking out in a apartment lot either - afraid of someone keying me, door dings, etc.
