Dealer Settings
I found reference to "dealer settings" in the LC 500 Owners Guide. It mentions the windows can be rolled down with the electronic key by pressing the unlock button. To get this feature (essential in sunny southern California) I must visit my local dealer to have settings changed.
This made me wonder if there were other 'dealer settings' that are not mentioned in the Owners Guide. The Guide mentions nothing about using the electronic key to start the car when it is close.
I'm looking for a list of these settings.
By the way, I love driving my LC 500 (white/caramel). Whooosh, and I'm outta there.

In order to perform remote start through your key, you need an active Enform Remote subscription (complimentary for 12 months). Just press the lock button three times, but hold the third press until the car starts.

I haven't tried it on my LC yet, but on all my previous Toyota vehicles, by default, pushing-and-holding the door unlock button on the remote for several seconds would unlock the doors and also open the windows.
NEVER MIND... I just tried it and this doesn't work by default on the LC. This is a dealer setting.

Pole Position
The trend to have features on a purchased (or even leased) vehicle that I pay for and own (when not a lease) that can be enabled, disabled, or changed only by the dealer is quite unattractive. Even if these are changed or addressed as a "complimentary" service it is still unacceptable. As the car owner, I should be able to read a manual or watch a publicly posted video and learn to implement these options unrestricted.

You have to think about it from the manufacturer's point of view (liability)... They've likely been sued and learned from mistakes that have occurred. I can imagine someone sitting on their key fob button - thus accidentally opening their windows during a rain storm, causing all kinds of damage. The owner likely passed the blame onto the manufacturer, right? You know - "I didn't know that could happen. It's not my fault!" For liability reasons, some settings require the customer's acknowledgement before the manufacturer will invoke those options.

2IS but last night installed Techstream v8.1 on a Win7 laptop to change up these dealer settings. Mainly after beeping and door lock BS when in and out of park but the ability to see all of the ECUs (ABS for bleeding) and trans temp for a fluid flush. In it $30 for complete access to car!
