Convertible top issue
Just got back from another dealership that had a used 2021 vert for sale. It has the same gap as mine so it looks like that's normal. The flex explanation makes sense.. My OCD was kicking in I guess. On a side note, although I'm a bright color guy and love my infrared, the used lc I looked at was black with red and it looked amazing. Very stealthy. Car does look good in any color.
Glad you did not let the dealership touch your car. I can guarantee that they will f*** it up. If you have a problem, you have to go to a convertible top specialist. The dealer is the worst place for these uncommon issues. They will likely open a repair manual, take your top apart and put it back together worse than before.
How many convertibles does a lexus dealer deal with?: close to zero. I see that you are in CT? The tristate Lexus service depts are some of the most incompetent.
i am a long time Lexus owner of multiple models since 2001 and the service quality is much worse than in he past. I personally live with some rattles and creaks in my GSF because if they start trying to “fix it”, I will get it back in a worse condition.
my 2 cents.

Have same gap from passenger side. Been at Lexus dealership today doing oil change.(cpo) Mentioned about the gap, and was told that there is adjustment procedure and I need to make an appointment for that which takes couple of days. During service took a look at convertible seating in showroom, that one has exact same gap issue.
now thinking if I need to make that “adjustment” if they can’t replace oil without overfilling it. Now need to bring oil level to the recommended level.

Had the vert a year now and no problems at all at 4000 miles. The top is completely waterproof and no air noise. Guess they designed it that way with the slightly bigger gap on passenger side. On a side note, just put winter tires and rims on and was driving around top down with temps from mid 40s down to 35 degrees. With heated seats, steering wheel, and headrest was very comfortable.I like to experience top down driving year-round as long as roads are clear. Don't want my cars to sit in the garage for 3 months.

This is normal according to Lexus and the dealership. A few vert owners asked my dealership shop buddy about this and he says Japan came back saying it’s engineering to allow some flexing and to alleviate stresses during twisting/flexing

Although my 2023 LC convertible doesn't have this problem (yet?), there was a March 7, 2024 Lexus Technical Service Bulletin issued about it (L-SB-0011-24 Gap Between Soft Top and A-Pillar on the Passenger Side). My experience with Lexus service so far (I've owned my car 2.5 years) has been excellent. I'm sure they will take care of it. Good luck!

Lexus should check the wet test before ship to buyer. My problem is water LEAK through the GAP.

Just took my 23 in last week for it's 10k service.
Had them perform Lexus Technical Service Bulletin (L-SB-0011-24 Gap Between Soft Top and A-Pillar on the Passenger Side).
Didn't take over 30 minutes and no gap now.
