I am new owner of a 2018 LC, and I am wondering what kind of cable I need to connect my IPOD. Is there a specific cable required and does Lexus sell that? I just called parts department and they were clueless (!??) Thank you.

 

you just need a regular ipod connector (the same cord that came with your ipod). either the lightening cable version, or 16pin version depending on how old your ipod is.

The other connector is USB A so it plugs right into the LC's multimedia system (inside the arm rest). Once connected, your car should automatically detect the ipod and its playlists.

 

haven't heard of an ipod in a while.

 

i thought he meant app for a while, then i realized he meant a physical ipod. hahahah i didnt think anyone had one of those anymore.

 

The Ipod (haha) is still my preferred means of listening to music. I have one in all my cars.... Mark’s question seemed a lil odd to me becuz, the basic connection to the car hasn’t changed in forever, only the connection port on the Ipod.... WoW, could this be his first Ipod?

 

It's actually my second IPOD. But I prefer to use the Ipod rather than my phone for music. One and done. I'm picking up my "used" 2018 LC next week -- corporate car with only 1458 miles -- yes only 1458! It's virtually brand new.
