The suggestion is that there is a chip shortage but that has been the reason for what seems like forever. Surely production must be catching up by now and is it correct to say Taiwan is the chief supplier? I haven't looked in recent weeks but out of curiosity Jaguar were quoting "up to 6 months" deliveries with some models at 9 months. On the basis of what we see then it appears this is still ongoing with no end in sight.
looks like only 103 sold in u.s. in June, vs. 280 a year ago.
I suspect there was a surge in sales in 2021 due to the convertible being released. Once that demand is met sales may fall off. Plus the other things people have mentioned.
I’ve been waiting for a LC500 coupe for months and no word on when I might get one. Dealer has no allocation at this time. I’m calling in some favors with friends to try to get one, but so far, nothing.

Dealer...???? AS in, singular?
You're gonna need to widen your search, my friend. Life is too short to wait.
Email blast dealers who have stock/incoming with what you are looking for and see what happens.
One-way flight/drive home or shipping is all just part of the purchase experience.
They can’t make them fast enough. Manufacturing is just slow in Japan now. I ordered my 22 LC500 January 5th of this year but just no word yet. Might get a 23 in a few months based on this rate.

Not sure what's up with Japan but my brother ordered a new M4 in February.
They originally told him it would be 6-9 months but somehow it showed up today at the dealer.
Only reason he didn't get an LC was the lack of a back seat for his toddler.
I can't wait to see his blue/yellow contrast interior in person--it looks pretty sick!!!

Man, I am so glad you edited the original interior. I was looking for the Blue/Yellow interior that was so Sick. What I saw was very disappointing. But this makes me feel a whole lot betta. LC still wins out tho!
