What year to buy
Have 4 different vehicles that I am considering purchasing w/in the next 3 months, LC500 is top on the list right now, being an old school hotrodder the LC500 has it all for me, looks, power and sound. I have been watching video's and studying up on the LC for a month or so now. Considering that from 2018 thru 2021, not considering '22, they all pretty much look the same, have the same engine, 5.0, not considering the 6, and sound the same, I guess it boils down to what year and what improvements you want and how much you want to spend for those improvements. I like the idea of the Apple care play and Android auto being available in the 2021, but is it that important for the extra dollars over a 2018/19 or 20 for that matter. I would really like the sports package, all 4 years offer it, more tweaks to it as they get newer, like the rear steering. But for a older guy who likes to go from stop to infinity now and again and is not a canyon carver, is the sports package that big of a thing ? So much to consider. Any input or your thoughts would be appreciated.
You'll be happy with any of the years. Differences from year to year are very minor. You might read through a couple other Threads on this LC Forum for some of the comparisons. As far as Apple CarPlay - I have a 2018 and the dealer was able to do an update to the software to add it to my LC. I also have the rear steering. As I said, differences are very minor and likely not noticeable to most.
Get the options you want for a fair price and you're good to go no matter what year. The condition of the car is more important when buying a used LC.
