I have a herniated disc on my right side so I was wearing my iPhone clip on my left side and got wear on the left side of my toasted caramel leather driver’s seat from the clip brushing the seat. The wear was on the seam just about where your picture shows wear.
I had the worn area repaired by an auto leather repairman and you can’t see any wear there anymore.
I switched my iPhone clip back to the right side and am extra careful, especially when I sit down into the car. I have been contemplating getting a custom matching seat cover for my driver’s seat only, but so far haven’t done so.

I worked in an Upholstery shop for years. It’s not hard to replace panels In The seat cover if you can match the leather. Lexus sells oem leather seat replacement covers. You can order the leather part from your dealer and have an upholstery shop take the old one off and put the new one on. It’s not hard. I swapped out all the leather in my LX 470 with Oem leather. 16 year old vehicle looked like it had brand new seats.
