Still sorta weird that they required me to show up to sign 600 miles away, but Wes picked me up at airport 45 minutes drive away. Very impressive facility, their team were very organized and put real effort into making it smooth. Holed up at a moderate hotel, 500 miles tomorrow. Quite looking forward to it.

The out of state dealer I bought from required a Zoom call with the GM & Business Manager even though I have had multiple and a current vehicle financed through LFS, due to the price of the vehicle, they said.
They also would release the vehicle until LFS had paid them.
in Exhilr8n's case, i think it was pure laziness on the dealer's part to 'require' in person deal. i assume it was also to provide an 'opportunity' to work the deal.
they figure if you wanted it bad enough you'll make the trip, plus they have no liability if anything happened to the car in transport if they shipped it to you.
anyway, glad it all worked out!
500 miles today and home. Saw a bit of America. Renewed my conviction that our only real problem is that we have way too many people. The struggle for resources will become the battle for resources sooner than many people want to believe.
So in the meantime, what’s better to relish the good ol’ days than a rock solid V8 roadster?
The color is much more brown than the configurator or most pictures show. In low light saying it’s orange is a stretch. There is a lot of sparkle in direct sunlight. The caramel and sand all work with it well.
These are great cars, a real value. For real life driving, it’s all you’d ever need in terms of power and handling. A quick pull of the left paddle and 90 comes quickly enough for passing those aggravating left lane idiots. We took a tight interstate onramp near home, decreasing radius that shocks many drivers. I did not push it at all but was surprised how flat we took it. Just last week we did the same turn in the 720 at decent pace. This is important: for all practical purposes, in anything close to sane driving, the LC does almost as well as the McLaren at one third the price!
Those seats are remarkable. I was in there for four hours straight at one point and yes it was not totally comfortable but all considered, it’s like they somehow made it to fit my back!
The sound system is very good, especially with a good quality source, even Satellite. Much better than the Bowers and Wilkins in the Mac, or the stock system in the Continental GT. Very digital and a bit edgy, but quite enjoyable.
Versus the LC coupe we had two years ago, the convertible has a big blind spot on passenger side. Have to trust the blind spot monitors. Driver side no problem.
Already getting grief from some pals who are used to me having more orange vehicles, but this is a great car for me at this time of my life. More to come…
Apologies for the cropped pic, still learning how this forum handles images.

Happy to see you came back to Lexus. Congratulations many happy years of smiles, good times for you and yours. I have much respect for the cars you have owned. Maybe I could ask you these questions? The touring brake pads on this car against the performance pads on the IR 2019 you sold. Do these dust as much? Do the touring pads have a better progressive bite? Any difference at all brake wise? I thought I could mention great short U tube videos can really help. Lexus also has great video tutorial from A to Z that really helps as well. Please be safe and enjoy life..thank you in advance
Quick comment on brake pads... i have the dynamic handling package (on my '21) so assume i have the more aggressive brake pads.
yesterday i washed the car after a weekend trip (about 300 mi. Round trip). As i hosed the front wheels, i noticed the darker water run off the wheels onto the light driveway so that must be brake dust. However, the rims certainly didn't look bad before (i guess you could see if you got 6" away) and were dead simple to clean up.
I believe i read that lexus changed the pads over time from the ones they put on originally.
Thanks bkh, am quite enjoying the blend of comfort and performance the LC provides us.
I never had a problem with squeal or excessive brake dust on our 2019. It was not a performance option model.
With the new car, zero squeal and so far nothing noteworthy as far as dust or performance. Have only had the car a week and a half so not explored the performance much yet. Did get it to step out a bit on a fast sharp turn yesterday with all nannies engaged. They worked nicely.
I’ll play with these brakes some more and get back.
