Question Hood replacement on LC

I purchased a carbon hood to replace the factory hood on the LC. One thing I did not take into consideration was working around the safety feature on the hinge that when impact happens the hood has the pressure charges.
These charges block my access to removing the hood bolt. Anyone have experience with swapping a hood and have advice on removing these charges or working around them. I will put them back on the hinge when done, but I do need to take them off.

Advice?

you should be able to remove the hood bolts without any issue. The charges need not be removed. I used a combo wrench. Use the open end and you can turn the bolt a little bit at a time without interfering with the charges.

Thanks @anchaf3 ... when I tried it the other day, the back bolt length would have been too long, I did continue to try and remove it when I saw the problem. Was the bolt just shorter in the back?

I don't recall there being a difference. I will check out my hood later and look at the bolts. I will report back!
