Default Price: 2021 Lexus LC 500

Hello Everyone, nice to meet you all. I'm in the market for a new 2021 LC 500 with Performance Package (Coupe) and would appreciate all your inputs regarding pricing. What do you think is a fair out the door price in today's market/economy for this car? I'm located in Southern California. The sales tax here is 8.750%. All the local dealers are not giving any discounts and selling at MSRP (about $106k), out the door about $116k. Thank you in advance for your help.

Best Regards and Happy Holidays,
Hong

Update on Saturday morning: I just heard back. They apologized for the delayed response and for "forgetting" to include the Lexus incentive, and they offered a slightly better trade value. Discussions may be underway.

Original post from last night: FWIW, I dipped my toe today into the well-equipped 2021 LC 'vert water here in Florida. The dealer offered it at MSRP, tried to pretend that Lexus wasn't offering a $3,000 incentive, and undervalued my trade by roughly $10,000. When I swiftly but politely rejected that...he never even acknowledged my reply.

I took delivery of a fully loaded 2021 LC Coupe in September(infrared/caramel) They wanted 108 and I got them down to 104. This was an allocation of a vehicle that had been ordered by another dealership but was still on the ship and diverted to me. Hope this helps.

Two weeks ago, I picked up my LC500 convertible "Inspiration Series" at a great dealership in Fort Worth. They gave me the 3k Manufacturers Rebate and I didn't even have to ask for it. They also gave me a very fair trade-in amount for my 2013 Mercedes SL550. Very aggressive AND luxurious car. Just love it !! Lexus really hit it out of the ballpark with this one.

I would be surprised if you can't do better. 2 years ago after about a month of haggling, I got my LC OTD at about $88K, sticker was $102K. Not quite optioned as yours, more touring than performance. But after a few more years of making basically the same car with minimal changes, inflation couldn't be that bad. 2 years ago there were few buyers and a $5K dealer kick that helped. Does the Pandemic favor a higher price?

Congratulations and enjoy it in the best of health.

Back to the OP question. If you look on CarGurus, you will see some variation in dealership offered pricing.

There are a couple of dealerships offering at least $5K off a convertible, I would reach out of one of them to see what they will do for you on a coupe.

Also, I would just focus of the selling price for a forum discussion. We are in different states so having to consider local transaction costs create noise, not clarity.

I picked up my 2021 Infared/Black LC at the end of July. Sticker was around 108k and I got it for 100K. Dealer mentioned “their price” was around 98k...but I took that with a grain of salt. There were no incentives at the time also.

This was also in Northern California.

Good Luck!!
