Default Question about auto downshift response.

Hello, as the thread title states I'm interested in knowing your opinion of trans/engine response in a downshift scenario.

As in, if it's cruising in top gear on the highway in auto mode and you stuff it, does it downshift and accelerate rather quickly or is there a noticeably long delay?

Thanks!

Could you be more specific as to RPM you are at before shifting, and what are looking to get to?

I have a 2018 LC, usually operating under S+ model.
In short: No, I do not think the auto-downshift logic is aggressive, nor the response speed is quick. This transmission logic and no front camera are two things I do not like about my LC. I do not know if 2019 version is better

Was thinking about this while on a six hour drive yesterday.

Just as an experiment, I wonder how this delayed response you feel would be compared to what would happen if you used the left shift paddle a time or two a half second before pushing the loud pedal. I have never done it otherwise.

Or if the parking sensors could detect a curb
