I had CarPlay installed a few days ago in my LC500 (white).
Works as advertised.
It seems like it can make driving safely easier.

 

My CarPlay is great. I have a 2018 white LC500.
I'm not sure whether this is related or not, but now, the last center-display function (MPG, G-force, tire pressure, current gear), when the vehicle is turned off, returns to the setting when I restart the car.
I like it this way. I can leave it on G-Force, tire pressure, or whatever, and when I restart the car, the same information is displayed.
CarPlay works great and I think it's safer than playing with your phone.
Now, if it'd stay in the Drive Mode I select after a restart, that'd be peachy.
Too bad 'pinch' and expand doesn't work with CarPlay maps.
Nice that you can create a route on your computer and send it to your phone for use in your car: Brilliant!

It looks great. Just like the pictures in the advertisements. My LC500 displays 10 icons per screen. So the apps I use most are on the first page.
Messages come in nice. Siri reads them to you and you can dictate your responses.
Installation took my dealership hours and had to enlist the Lexus Field Technician's services.
It works great. I'm glad I made the upgrade. Dash cam is next.

Bought the Escort DashCam that mates to the Escort Max 360c. Works well and can move it to other vehicles

 

AFAIK, all 2018 LC's in dealer inventory after the app was announced, had it installed by the dealer. That was the case with my LC, and all the one's I was looking at. For all the one's I was interested in, I used the VIN and the Lexus Driver's app to find the miles and all the services performed on the vehicle.

I just bought a Garmin Dash Cam 45. I really din't want a fancy Dash Cam, just your basic model. I had a cheapee in my ISF.

Yes, it works even better than on theiphone

 

2020 rx has Android auto. Hopefully there will be an update for the LS/LC.
