Smile SPY SHOT - Lexus 'Structural Steel' Finish

I have just received from a secret unnamed source a recent Spy Photo of the new Structural Steel finish on a test Lexus IS. It was noted that this finish, while using a different process than the Structural Blue, has taken a similar time to 'develop'. It has also been stated that they are working on an advanced process to try and use this on aluminum & composite panels which is currently not compatible.

An obvious upside to this new finish is maintenance. This Structural Steel miracle finish requires ZERO maintenance. This means no need for the expensive ceramic coatings or clear bra products. Additionally this coating is an option that is an actual DEDUCT from the sticker price! With all these advantages, I expect to see much more new LC's with this finish cruising the streets soon.

Nice! How will body shops match it though?

It would look awesome with a carbon fiber roof.
