Of course not. All ceramic pro is, is a revised teflon coating. If a rock or pebble hits your front fascia at the right angle and speed it can penetrate through a clear bra. No coating will prevent a rock chip. All waxes, sealants and teflon coatings do, is simply add an additional thin microscopic layer of film over the clear coat. It is preventive of swirls and light scuffs and more importantly blocks UV rays while preventing oxidization, which is what is responsible for fading paint jobs over time.

I understand this Structural Blue is very special. However, I was at the dealership for some service this past weekend and they have the LC500 in Structural Blue and GS350 in Ultra Sonic Blue about 15' from it. To my eyes, they are very similar. If I didn't know the difference, I would pass it as the same color.
Has anyone seem the two blue in person?

Not believing for a second there will only be "100" of these in this color.... Sounds like a ploy by US dealers to charge a premium.... (and the "Night Shade" does not seem to be coveted....).

I was at Haldeman Lexus in Princeton, NJ on Saturday and they have the same setup of cars and colors in their showroom and my impression was the same as yours, it was very hard to tell the difference. One of the salesman, who could barely bring himself to speak to me because I apparently did not pass his test as a potential client, asserted confidently the colors were obviously different but I had a hard time seeing it. Maybe the difference is more obvious in sunlight but under showroom lights, they looked pretty identical.

I would say that having seen the structural blue/Inspiration series in person now, the thing I like the most is the interior. I wouldn't have thought a blue/white/orange combo would work but it is terrific.

Saw one about a week and a half ago at the new Lexus of Orlando dealership. It caught my eye right away - while I was dropping off my Nightfall Mica LC. Gorgeous color, I have to admit. Then about 4 days ago, I saw it on the road - I asked myself, how many are there? I was actually on my way to the dealer, and then found out an older lady from Sarasota had purchased that same one, and she was already driving it on the roads!

Any way to pre-order one of these? Is there a lottery of some sort when they get distributed in NA?

They only made 100 coupes….over three years ago.

They made 100 convertibles for 2021 in this color but they all sold out….

used market is your only option.

Ceramic coating is not the same as PPF though.. If one is looking to protect the front end, film is really what you need and not a sacrificial top coating.

Aww, Haldeman Lexus had one? That's the one I go to.

There are lots of gorgeous colors but how you maintain it makes all the difference. I would think Structural blue is no different.

I would think you want to get a PPF if you do any sort of real driving with this car. Most PPF nowadays are self healing so it's a no brainer. You could argue that a bare paint job is sexier but after 20k miles you will start to see plenty of chips.

I learned this the hard way. I bought a 2014 IS350 and got PPF on the front bumper, and it still looked pretty decent when I sold it around 22k miles. Then I bought a 2017 and didn't get the PPF and after 20-30k miles (quite a few 250 mile road trips) it looked pretty bad I was considering having it re-painted. I understand that the cost of the PPF ~$500 for the bumper and the cost to have a decent place re-respray the bumper is about the same money though. But with structural blue you'd want to definitely protect it and avoid any re-paint.
