Once it's built, it takes a month to get to the port by water. Once mine got to the port, it took 2-3 weeks to get to the dealer. Mine went by rail to Kansas City and then trucked to the dealer in St. Louis. Mine was built March 31st. and it arrived at the dealer May 15th.

I would say takes between 1-2 months to get to dealer from build date. You never know what can happen at either end. But that was what the order sheet said it was going to take. Dealer should know each milestone along the way. Every date (range) is set once the build date was confirmed:

- build date (5/10)
- on ship date (5/17)
- arrive port date (5/23)
- on truck date (6/5)
- arrive dealer date (6/7)

That was the schedule the dealer provided me on 4/25, and it was accurate (+/-1 day). With all the emissions scandals these days, I think port clearance is taking longer than in the past.

My build date was 6/13 with a ship ETA date of 7/3 and a dealer ETA date of 7/15. Which seems a bit tighter than other folks so I hope that the dates can be meet.

What port is it being shipped to? The dealer will get updates along the way. Mine took a month by water. Either they don't know, or they're blowing smoke.

For those who ordered from the factory: How long did you guys have to wait from the point you've ordered your car until the day you were able to pick it up? I was given a waiting period of 4 months.

Mine took just over 7 weeks but my build date was less than 6 days after I placed the order.
