Question Experience with current sticky threads - not good

Earlier: The sticky threads were similar to normal threads (and on top of the page), I can see if there is a new post and just go to the last page to read the latest alone in one click. Even if I do not contribute, I usually read most of the posts in those threads for knowledge.

Now: All stickies were collapsed in to one single post with a link to each. Can't see whether there is any new post on that link or not, and then have to click on the link and navigate to last page / post.

A single click navigation and reading of the latest post(s) earlier has become 3 clicks at least (to the post, click link, go to last page assuming I am not logged in) and without knowing whether there is a new post in that thread or not.

I do not know the reason behind the decision of moderators (I am sure there is one and I respect it) however it is not the same experience at all. I stopped reading all stickies from the moment it moved to a single post with links. I do not want to guess that there will be an update. User experience has definitely taken a backseat.. What do you all feel? Is there a shortcut to have same experience in current setup of stickies? If not, may I respectfully request the moderators to reconsider the decision and keep the stickies look the way they were earlier?

For me I just edited the feed preferences and selected the LC, LX and GX. Then all I have to do is select New Posts on the menu bar and it will only populate the posts I haven’t read. Once the post opens, you can select Unread (top left of the posts) and it will go to the first post you haven’t read.

Access would be to open your Control Panel (little wheel thingy upper right), look for Feed Personalization, then Edit Feed Personalization (select what you want to track). Then save your preferences. Then when you select New Posts only the ones you select will show if unread by you.

OK, hope it works for me. My phone isn't able to use the Search Forum feature. When I open it and click the box to enter text, the box disappears.

I still miss the old format where I can see at a glance what's new. I don't even open the stickies anymore. I don't know what I'm missin'. I do get an email from Club Lexus detailing New Threads and Updated Threads; so there's THAT.

Rob

I'm for simplicity and intuitive Every forum I've joined has the sticky threads in our former format. It's easy, even a reflex, to scroll past them to get to the body of members' offerings or stop and read. I'm in your corner on this.
