if you don’t mind, what was the particular aspect/attribute of the LC 500 that triggered this reaction?
I missed having a convertible.
Sold the S2000 in 05 as a job change resulting in more commuting (S2000 after an hour in Boston highway traffic can get old)
When they announced the LC500 convertible for the 21 model year, that was it.

Default Classic vs current

As the proud owner of a 25 Bespoke coupe as well as a 2015 LS460, please let me present my observations. The LS has a similiar touch pad system as the "Classic", but with the mouse control vs the touch pad in the "Classsic" LC. It works fine, except for the hunting you have to do to find your desired reference. Our "Current" LC with the Touchscreen is more convienent IMO. With that said, the best addition to our "25" is the 360 degree camera. As this is the most expensive car I have ever bought, that camera will hopefully help me avoid scrapping my front bumper. To help with that, I purchased a Auto Mods skid plate for protection. Unfortunately, nothing like that is available for the LS......And I've got the scrapes to proove it. Anyway, in closing, If you own one of these beautiful cars, don't judge if one is better than another as they are all spectacular regardless of vintage or individual specs. We should all be thankfull that we own one (or more).

Yep it arrived at port Dec 15th. It FINALLY had its expected arrival to the dealer updated to 2/4-2/17 on Sunday. So I'm praying it actually leaves the port and that the dealer in Miami doesnt try any shenanigans on the deal we made now that there's "blood in the water" with Lexus announcing end of production.

I had a dealer I spoke to call me Friday offering a black on black convertible at MSRP, but I just really dont like soft tops. Part of me was very tempted to take it, but I' holding out hope the one in Miami comes through for me. It wasnt my order, just one that was apparently not spoken for when I called in December the instant it showed up on Autotrader.

I am interested in your experience with the Auto Mods skid plate.

Does it look good installed? Did you install it yourself...and was it easy? I checked out the website and it indicates no drilling necessary.

I am very careful parking, but anything can happen accidentally, so extra protection of any kind would be worth it.

Thanks in advance for some additional info!

If you've got a deposit on it it should be yours at the terms you agreed and there shouldn't be any dealer fuckery. Generally dealers know you'll go to google reviews and yelp if they pull this kind of thing, and that's more damaging to them than a few extra dollars on the deal. They might try a harder sell in finance, but hopefully they don't tack on "mandatory" things all of a sudden.

Given the current state of LC 500 stock and availability that is actually a good deal. Nonetheless, I do not blame you for turning that down and holding out for the coupe that’s tied up at the Jacksonville port. This is by no means an inexpensive vehicle and you plan to keep it for a long time. Under the circumstances, you are correct to get what you genuinely want for long-term satisfaction. Good luck to you.

The Auto Mods skid plate is very easy to install if your car is on a lift. They provide specific cleaner and activater for the 3M adhesive tape for mounting. The parts are all laser cut and fit perfectly. Not visible unless on a lift. I considered Scrape Armor but didnt want to drill any holes. Bottom line.........Highly reccomended!

Thank you for the information. Much appreciated. I am very mechanical....but I do not have access to a lift...and would just as well pay someone to install it. I guess a local body shop...

My salesman texted me this evening they expect the car to arrive at the dealership TOMORROW!! Fingers crossed and I am trying not to get too excited and count my chickens before they hatch. Bespoke 2026 USB coupe, black interior, alcantera headliner, mark levinson, HUD, split 10 spoke wheels (the $50 option) w/ machined edge, dark chrome exterior trim (one of my big nearly must haves). Not sure what else. I know for sure no carbon fiber roof or scuff plates.

TBH my only options if I couldve ordered were black interior, dark chrome trim, and the wheels. So its optioned a lot higher than I wouldve done but I wont complain if I get her home.

Hopefully I have my baby in my garage within the next 2-3 weeks.

Ty man. It has been a long road so I am really hoping this deal goes through and I dont have to restart my search.

I actually had a deposit on a 2025 bespoke in December 2024 but my mom needed $$ to keep insurance for a spinal fusion surgery and new couches after surgery because hers were 20 years old and hurting her, so I cancelled my order to spend like 20k helping her and 8k on a car for my sister so she could help with errands and such.

I dont regret it one bit and would do it again right now if needed, but am very much selfishly hoping that it didnt make me miss my chance at a new new LC I can break in myself vs having to find a CPO or used one I am comfortable with.
