I have a 911/993 which has big hips too, and the PPF on them gets beat up from debris thrown up from the front tires.

If you haven't already, I'd put the flaps on the front too.

I'm running 15mm Front, and 20mm rear; so not as aggressive as many here. I didn't feel the need to go any wider, and the decision was somewhat influenced by not wanting to beat up the ppf/bodywork. Even then, the rear needed some more protection imo, so I undertook this project. I had seen the Vicrez offering, as they seem like the only company who offers anything off the shelf. But to me, the price was exorbitant, and I have not seen anyone here actually running them. And when you look at the product, the flaps are really narrow, and our inner fenders drop off pretty quickly, so it would seem like it would want to push the guards out at an angle. Oh, and they still didn't even include mounding tape for that price! I have kicked around doing front ones as well, either with the two other flaps that came in my package, or even the excess I removed when making the rears. Fronts would be more visible, which has me hesitating, but they don't need to be anywhere near as wide as the rears to provide protection. If I get bored (or ambitious), I may go look into it again, but the rears addressed the most obvious need.

Ron,

Is the body mounting tape used to secure the mudflap similar to 3M double sided tape?
The link wasn't working for me.

Yeah, that's exactly what it is. I used "3M Super Strength Molding Tape 03609". I used this on the thin painted part of the inner fender. Sorry the links aren't working for everyone...
