I have had many corvettes and still love all that I have had for many different reasons. BUT, this Lexus is so nice to drive and the power is there if you need it.

This is what traded LC for.
Hello - New member making first post; forgive me if I'm breaking any forum rules.
In September I placed an order for a 2026 LC500 Nori Green Coupe with the toasted caramel interior, Touring Package, Limited Slip Differential, 21-Spoke Wheels and HUD. I got confirmation of the build order a couple weeks later and last Friday I received a call that it was built earlier that day. In short, I have a car and VIN with my name on it somewhere in Japan and this afternoon was given a delivery window of a few weeks starting in mid-January. Anecdotally, my salesman told me that he has had several other customers try to place orders but mine is still the only one that has gone through.
Short story, I saw my first LC on the floor of a dealership in Istanbul in 2023 and it immediately made it to the top of my list. I wasn't even looking for my next mid-life crisis but when I sat behind the wheel I felt right at home. A year later a buddy of mine was in LA on business and when he saw one on Turo he immediately rented it then called me telling me to fly out there for a 3-day test drive; and drive we did. The car exceeded my expectations. Now, as 2026 approaches and the LC 500 heads into the sunset it's now or never. I chose now.
Thanks in advance for all the insights I'll pick up here on the forum!

Congratulations!
The Nori Green is elegance personified and looks terrific with the optional spoke wheels.
if you do not mind answering, what was the main factor during your 3 day rental that sealed the deal?

The 3 Day Road Trip was excellent and moved me from curious to convinced. In our relatively short trip we drove the coast toward San Diego, then headed east into the desert, lost some tire tread in Joshua Tree Wilderness, carved the canyons and mountains around Big Bear before meandering our way back to LA. We knew we picked a good route when we saw a line of camouflaged Porsches passing the opposite direction and enjoyed a respectable sampling of steak, scotch and cigars along the way.
But the car was the star of the show. As luck would have it was a 2024 which was important to me to try out the new touch screen. Even though the new screen looked a little tacked on compared to the elegant lines of previous years I appreciated the functionality. We also noticed how quiet the cabin was, until you asked it not to be. I thought the handling was very good and the power was certainly good enough. We all know you can buy more powerful cars for less money but it was absolutely fast enough for a guy that will never go to the track. My "fun" driving will be in the Colorado mountains where handling and smooth power are more important than 0-60 times or waiting for a turbo to spool up to feed adrenaline. Nothing can replace an old school V8.
Additionally, I can't fail to mention the interior build quality. The generous use or real metal and leather match the design theme perfectly. The cabin isn't full of distracting interior LED lights or cluttered with an oversize IPad glued to the dashboard. It has just the amount of tech a respectable Gen-Xer is looking for.
However, the moment that sealed the deal for me was when we were in the hotel parking garage on our last morning before we left for the airport and the valet started it up within the confines of the concrete garage. The engine note turned the first floor of that hotel into a concert hall and that was the moment I knew it was just a matter of time before I pulled the trigger on my own.

Congrats!! I think I may have nearly pulled the trigger on that exact car! Saw it on autotrader last month and cloudburst is the ONLY other contender for me after USB. It's a gorgeous shade unlike most yawny greys. It even has a slight bluish hue in certain light, kinda like Shadow Grey from GM 2020/2021 vettes.
Beautiful LC! Who are we kidding, theyre ALL beautiful even in colors I'm not partial to!! Fingers crossed my "new to me" up in illinois is all I hope for when I can go pick it up next month! Just couldnt risk holding out hope for my bespoke order to be built since USB on black is such a hard combo to find.

So true! I’m usually not particularly attracted to gray shades. The Cloudburst Gray is an exception. It does have a hint of bluish undertones. In person it looks absolutely beautiful, particularly in the sunlight. It’s a happier brighter shade as opposed to a dull depressing shade of gray.
