So, first impressions:

Dealer experience (Pohanka of Chantilly, in Virginia) was broadly good. Apart from the 3M PPF on the whole front end, the carbon kick plates and the rocker panels, the only other extra I took was the extended warranty out to 8 years.

My wife drove us home to Maryland (happy wife, happy life) and certainly seemed to enjoy herself! I took the car for a 20 mile jaunt for pizza last night, and she’s lovely… really a feel-good car… rides very well, very good handling (though I need to adjust to the rear wheel steering in the tight stuff), great brakes, just the right progressive feel and plenty of bite. The drivetrain is something else, though - YouTube videos do not do the soundtrack justice - it’s a deep, rich, almost soulful sound, and we’ve not yet been above 5,000rpm!

Looking forward to driving her some more! This one’s a keeper…

My reply was actually about the bumper hanging over the parking block. Since it’s your house, I’m sure you know how high it is. I once had rebar sticking out of one of those things that caught my bumper while I was backing out.

Beautiful car, the Alcantara they added to the dash sure looks nice with the toasted caramel interior.

Hythe,
I'm a bit envious. I guess I've got another 6 or 7 months of waiting for my Nori Green/Almond to arrive. Apparently it will be a '26.
Thanks for posting the pics.
Oh yeah, Congratulations!!!

Living life on the edge. Lol.
I hope he learns how to use the panoramic view camera before damaging that front.

Well, yes, that was my wife’s parking job… the nose clearance and approach angle seems pretty good on this car - about the same as on an M3, apparently - I researched it as I wanted to make sure it could safely enter my underground car park in NJ!

Mine took 3-4 months each time, from order entry to delivery - I say “each time”, the dealer forgot the Dynamic Handling package the first time they entered the order (!), so the car turned up in Jan/Feb with the wrong spec… imagine my amusement…

No doubt that it is a “keeper”.
Thanks for sharing your initial impressions. IMHO this is one of the most high quality solidly built cars that can currently be purchased. Simply premium quality throughout.

Definitely a great color combination and has always been a combination I liked....I've had three cars with similar combo and loved all of them. '73 TR6 with British Racing Green, '03 Accord and '17Audi A4 with Gotland Green Metallic. I considered the Nori Green LC but really liked the USB with the white/blue interior for the convertible. Quite positive I would have liked either. Congratulations! 100% agree with your driving observations. Driving the LC puts a smile on my face every single time I get behind the wheel.

So a quick update after the first 600 miles, 250 of which was through NJ rush hour traffic then a big ol’ Atlantic coast thunderstorm last night…

As I said to my wife last night after about 6 hours in the saddle, this may well be the best car I’ve ever owned. Not the fastest (that would be an Alpina B5 Touring), nor perhaps even the prettiest (Porsche 993 Carrera S or possibly the Mk1 Lotus Exige), but it’s just so well built, the engineers clearly thought about almost every detail and I keep discovering nice new things about it - such as the windscreen washer jets integrated into the wiper arms or the cornering lamps (useful on dark country roads)!

Mostly, though, it’s just such a simple and restful car to pilot, as well as fun of course, when that’s what you want…
