I'm looking for a used part for my LC500 and came across a FB group - Jackson Lexus Parts. Lots of photos, seems legit, out of New York. Part is about $300, about 1/3 new. It's cosmetic and he sent lots of good pics. Just checking in with you all before pulling the trigger.
is it a dealer? i tried to buy an "expensive" part ,from a Lexus dealer and the price was so low because it wasnt in stock and would take a month to come from Japan.

No, he's got a Facebook storefront. Lots of pictures of parts but there's a New York "Yo, Bro, what's happening?" vibe that's a little off putting. I have a small crack in my grill that only I notice. Not worth the grand Lexus wants to replace it. This guy says he'll sell me one for $300. Apparently, someone switched out the chrome grill for a black grill so it's available.
I sent him a message on FB regarding my concerns. We'll see how he responds. If he really wants to do business we can find a way forward, just not going to send him money without any safeguards.

A lot of us New Yorkers speak like that. I suggest you purchase somewhere else if it makes you uncomfortable. At the end of the day, it's your money and you should probably spend it with your own kind.

In my defense, his last message was just two words: "Wassup, Bro." True story...I'm actually from Philly and we talked a bit like that ourselves, just not when we were doing business.
