With the cancellation of the RC-F this year, there's a lot of people predicting that next year will be the last for the LC500. Once you can't buy a new one, I would expect them to stop depreciating very soon after (as the GS-F has) and then eventually begin appreciating. If the LFR ever actually makes it to production, depending on its price point it may have an impact on LC500 appreciation. If it's priced anywhere near what the LFA was then I wouldn't expect it to have much of an impact.

Point being, if the car you're looking at now is exactly the one you want -- color, interior, other specs -- then $57 vs $60K is a trivial (5%) difference. Earning that extra $3K will be easier than waiting to find the next perfect LC500. And if you wait too long, there's a good chance that it'll cost you a lot more than an extra $3K. (edit: I'm not saying offer full price, but if this is your dream spec don't let a few grand difference make you miss out, haggle down as much as you have the patience for then buy it)

The LC500 is 4.4 Unless your are tracking your LC500, that is certainly not "substantially." You say the ZF transition is "light years ahead" of the LC500s. Um, no. The ZF8, and its iterations have been around for years and years. (Not to mention it is absolutely a common transmission used in many pedestrian/bland cars and trucks. Don't get me wrong, I loved my ZFs in my cars, but your comment is not correct.) The 10-speed in the LC500, at least the one I know in my 24', is a marvel and advances the art of automatics in its design, light weight, etc. You say " . . .it can stumble, hesitate, lurch & generally misbehave. . ." And you say "clumsy is a good adjective for it " Huh? Mine has never done any of these things, ever. Exactly the opposite. Initially, in the 2018, the transmission was tuned too "real" and in the grand tourer, LC500, customers wanted it tamed down a bit, which has been done. The way you described it, there must be something very wrong with the one you drove.

Then you end your advice with: "The exhaust etc makes up for it but it still irritates me, I'm sure I will get used to it" There you have it. We found the one. The one and only person on the planet that doesn't like the exhaust on the LC500. "It irritates" you? Dude, exactly every single person on the planet loves it so much, they specifically call this one thing out all the time as making the car soo special. And you like the sound of your turbocharge six cylinder better???
I said

I've gone from a modified 2019 Supra to a 24 LC

My modified GR Yaris is also way faster than my LC in the dry & even more in the wet being 4WD but they are completely different cars

You misunderstood my exhaust comment as is easy to do with the written word, the exhaust note is mainly what drew me to the LC

Having had & still have many V8s mostly manuals, I dislike autos, even my five, 4WD Hilux's over the years have all been manuals, the Supra was a revelation into what a modern auto can be

This is why after 4400 kms I'm still mildly disappointed with the transmission in my 24LC, it is really the only thing with it I'm not happy with

Don't get me wrong I love this car to bits, at this point there is only one 2023-24 on the road in this country so it is way more than special

Looks like it maybe a little longer before I get my LC. The dealers ad said 58.8k, of course add on taxes. I offered 56k plus taxes. Their counter offer was 61K plus taxes! 2200 dollars over their asking price. I countered with 59k plus taxes. They said no, 61K! My only power in life is who I give my money to. I do not do business with people who deceive me. This dealer is not a Lexus dealer btw.

What the?
Why did you even bother offering more than their advertise price? I would’ve stopped there.
It’s a used LC500 what is plenty. Not some rare collectible.

Yeah I wouldn't reward a dealer that plays these games

When they call back, and they will, and drop to 60, your response needs to be "My new last and final offer is 58 even".
You might be surprised and end up with the car. If not this one was not ment for you. You will locate another one soon! I know how disappointing this can be.

Here's a 2021 Vert Lexus Certified PO near me for $78K and 37K miles. I've dealt with these guys for years, no bait/switching.; https://www.lexusoflakeside.com/auto...-mi/100534921/

I just swapped my 2022 BMW s drive30 z4 for an 2021 LC500 convertible. Yes the BMW was faster and more fuel efficient. It handed sharper too. The seat is more adjustable.

I just drove both 1,000 miles to make the trade. The LC is a much more luxurious space, has a better sound system, looks better (relatively statement) and should be more reliable long term. It rides smoother as well, but the bumps and jitters effect it more.

The LC is definitely faster than the sdrive turbo 4. It is definitely not faster than the b58 version

Correct. I need to clarify: the BMW was happier and more stable at the higher speeds one expects on I-95 making good time relative to the LC500. The LC500 doesn’t “demand” to be driven as fast. I could not find a speed where the BMW didn’t say “I can do more, no problem” where as the Lexus was more of a “this is fast, but I’m good here”.

You can't be serious.
In the past 5 years I've probably contacted 50 dealers with Serious interest in 1 of their cars that was advertised on one of the usual on line sites.
EXACTLY ONE dealer was willing to sell the car anywhere near their advertised price. The closest still had at least a thousand of We Gotta Get More for it BS add on.
I was Astounded by that One. Carolina Auto Sales in Concord, NC. It's a small family owned place maybe 5 min from the Nascar speedway. I was dealing with the son. I actually heard his Dad tell him they could Knock 5k OFF their asking price for me. Their asking price was actually already a fair one. I had them email that price to me and gave them a deposit STAT. I was shocked. The only thing that made any sense to me was that the old man may have not been that familiar with LCs, this was at the very start of Covid and maybe Pops was concerned about have a 70k car languishing on their lot.
Even dealers that actually Advertise No Dealer Fees have some other area they'll bring in the bright lights, bamboo splints and Loud Yoko Ono "music" to get more $ from you.

If you drive one, you will want one.

We test drove everything new (including a RC F), and the LC 500 was the only thing I fell in love with. I'm a huge MK3 / MK4 Supra & 240SX / Silvia fanatic, so it's been hard to find anything to replace that feel. The LC did it. I'm looking for a black on black w/ carbon fiber roof model.

Not sure where you're at in NM, but Lexus of ABQ has a new one. There is a used one in Lubbock TX currently.

I check AutoTrader, Cars.com, and CarsForSale.com daily. BringATrailer & Cars&Bids are another option, but I need to test and see a vehicle before buying it.

Good luck, please ask any questions you might have! This is an amazing machine!
