So I bought the service manual for LC500 last year from factorymanual.com. I'm still trying to be able to make sense of it of how to read it. The download consists of wiring diagram in pdf. That's great. But the body repair section like taking off bumper, replacing strut, etc. are in some cryptic format html that the browser can't really read.
Recently, I also acquired LS460 service manual that is the same cryptic format that I can't really make sense of. For those with the service manual, how do you use it? I heard that having Windows XP and Explorer 6 will be able to read it. Is there any other way?

I'm using an old windows 10 laptop with Chrome. This is an example of what I see for the rear shock removal.
I noticed that this company seems to have a search engine. I’m wondering if it’s tied to ordering the DVD or if they’ve just implemented a better, more intuitive interface—based on their examples, it looks much easier to use. https://epcdepo.com/lexus-lc500-urz100-service.html
Thanks Tecman,
I looked into this a little more. The only way I can get it to work under Edge browser is to manual find the HTML to the index and open it.
Opening the index page
Clicked on the HTML and it would say cannot find.
But can manual find that specific html page on the html folder and open.
Good morning.- I recently bought a LC500 convertible and wanting to have access to the service manual and considering purchasing the one from factory-manuals.net ($80), but concerned the hyperlinks might not work with all browsers as some of you are reporting. So, questions for the thread starter are: has the seller provided any support or attempted to address the issue? Also, is this an OEM manual or aftermarket? And finally, is the manual installable in multiple machines or is it serialized somehow? TY
As far as I know, the manual is OEM and an electronic file that can be transferred from machine to machine.
I have not contacted the seller(factorymanual.com) regarding how to use it. However, I do have a way to get to what I want per my posting above. It requires a bit of steps but I can at least get the instructions I need.
The most important thing to me with DIY is torque the nuts and bolts to spec. Over tightening and under tightening stuff can lead to all sorts of issues.
