Default CTEK 7002 install question

First time using the CTEK 7002 on my MY24. Watched the CTEK youtube install which shows clipping the black clip to the negative terminal as opposed to the manual that says the black clip should be clipped to the body. Which is correct? I clipped the negative clip to the head of a bolt that is in contact with the body. Everything after 1 hour is operating fine. So clip the negative to the negative terminal or the bolt, which is correct? I know you can connect the charger going under the hood, but I'm more comfortable right now using the clips.

Technically, if you are doing things by the book and in the exact right order, there is less of a chance for a mishap (shore-circuit) if you attach directly to the body, since going by the book would mean that you previously disconnected the negative battery connector. I did not do it this way on my 24' as I didn't want the car to loose power while I connected my Battery Tender directly to the positive and negative battery post clamps. I was able to connect both while also always maintaining power to the car. (I did one at a time very carefully, while covering up the other and ensuring there would be no contact with anything conductive even if I messed up and dropped the wrench, etc. . .)

I'm using the CTEK MXS 5.0 connected directly to the pos/negative terminals of the battery. It also came with the Comfort connect cable and 1/4" eyelets which is what was used.
