I agree. I can’t imagine the lower portions of the dash, such as the the glovebox area, that are currently vinyl/leather to be replaced entirely by alcantara. Seems a bit much… I hope I’m not wrong. I was planning to order a Bespoke in Flare Yellow with a caramel interior for the upcoming 25 MY. This may give me pause if it’s entirely alcantara…
This was how my ‘20 GSF had it. The whole dash alcantara and the top of the center console(where you rest your elbow), and part of the door panel. Only 14k miles and you can see where the elbow rest on the center console has a worn mark on the alcantara.
I didn’t really like it as it feels like wall to wall carpeting.

I had this thought today on the LC where my left elbow tends to rest on the horizontal armrest section of the door panel.. Can expect the Alcantara in that spot to be extra worn I guess. I wonder if there is anything that can be used to prevent it from happening?

This is insightful to know. I suspect it may be just the center of the instrument cluster that will be alcantara by default then. It appears if you choose the option for alcantara headliner, the center portion of the instrument cluster also is covered. Here is a picture of @LC500YYC interior from a recent RCF thread.

I have the Alcantara headliner and yes that piece is Alcantara in mine.

I tried for the life of me to send Amazon page links but crazily, was unable to. I'll attach pics at the end here.
Yes to your question. This is the magic juice. Search Youtube for Sonax Alcantara cleaner. There is vid where the nap is all the way down. It's shiny. The Sonax brought it back to normal. Another detailer both used the Sonax and sold it out of his shop. Watch a bunch of vids And Follow The (ugh european) Insructions. A few pointers.
Those 2 little brushes are worth their weight in gold. The first line of defense is a once every week or two brush with the brush(es). Keep That Nap UP. You never want to Wet Down Alcantara like a lot of Detailers do on Youtube. The manufacturers website says that. To use the Sonax you'll also need a dry and a dampened microbiber.
The door bolster on my drivers door, the same area you described, was just barely starting to shine. I didn't have the brushes yet. The Sonax made it like new again in just a few minutes. I bought a spare can just in case it becomes hard to get for any reason.

Thanks for this. Preventative action seems to be the right course so I'll look into these products and routines! Should be easy enough to do even if done monthly when I typically dust and vac the interior and condition the leather surfaces
