Default WeatherTech v. Lexus all-weather floor mats

Which all-weather floor mat do you like better? Trying to decide which one to buy - they are roughly same price although Lexus is currently a bit cheaper on sale at discounting Lexus dealer courtesy of 355F1’s link. I’m more interested in quality / effectiveness than price.

Why all-weather floor mats in Florida? I thought snow and mud were the main reason for these

The OEMs look 10 times better IMO. And if they're cheaper to boot, they'd be a no-brainer decision for me .

I live on the beach so it’s not uncommon for my shoes and flip flops to drag sand into the car - plus it rains a lot and wet shoes will quickly muddy up my caramel carpeted mats so it’s nice to have all-weather mats even in the summer.

I tend to agree but it looks like the WetherTech might have a higher lip to contains spills and more coverage especially on the driver’s right side.

weathertech may have a higher sill but i have the lexus all weather ones and i guess i just prefer the latter's thick rubber and overall design vs. a bunch of plastic (weathertech).
i've had weathertech on several cars though and they do the job but i've found the driver's one loses shape over time and looks like junk after a while.

I have WeatherTechs in the LS460 and OEM rubber mats in the LC. The WeatherTechs have vertical walls around the periphery that had to be cut down to avoid interference with the bottoms of the front seats; no problem with the OEMs. But the WeatherTechs do a better job of containing mud and snow and water; they are slightly more difficult to install, being plastic and stiffer.

Thanks for everyone’s advice. I ordered the Lexus version, MSRP $169.00 on sale for 33% off so I paid $113.40 with free shipping from AZ to Fla and no sales tax - seems like a very good deal Hopefully they’ll look like the ones in the pic when they arrive.

My experience with the weathertech ones in my BMW was that the sides tend to fold in a bit after a while and are not as attractive or as form fitting as the Lexus rubber mats. True, in heavy snow, the weathertech would hold more liquid, but that is a very rare occurrence. The weathertech are stiffer plastic while the Lexus are softer rubber.

100% mats are shown on the Lexus site above. Not liners.
