Which color will show the most swirls ?

Guys, we know a Black Lexus is a full time job but what about
the other LC colors that is a full time job to maintain?

I know white and Silver is the easiest to maintain.
what about the dark blue, or the atomic pearl?

I heard the Infra red or nightcfall mica (blue)is
Swirl city as well..

Chime in guys

Thx Lex2000, the video sure help 😁

I personally have a Nightfall Mica, and tbh, it's very similar to a black car. The maintenance on that color is quite high, as most scratches will show. Keep in mind I already paint corrected mine, PPF'd it and ceramic coated it. Nevertheless, any imperfections will show. After cleaning my car (which is once a week), just after one drive, I'll be able to see the dust on it.

Despite the high maintenance, when clean, the color is just beautiful as it somewhat changes hues under different lighting - even has some shades of purple at times.

I had an Ultra White LC, easy to care for. My RX is Atomic Silver, again easy. I now have a Infrared LC and it looks good so far (200 miles all be it)

But off point here for a second, Guanche2k9, please share your wheels, they look awesome!

Being serious, get the colour you love the most and like asinow says protect it. Clear film and ceramic coating. Why deny yourself.

Dang these wheels look great! Did you have to lower the car at all to get that aggressive stance? Any other modifications done to the car? Please share!

There's probably a filter on that - I'm not a photoshop guy. Had a friend "touch it up". Apologies for that.

Car is in fact lowered on RSR Ti2000 springs and a full Novel lip kit painted in gloss black.

I have the Infrared and it is a swirl/scratch magnet --- not sure what it is about the paint that Lexus uses but I've never seen colored paint that is THIS difficult to maintain.

Even when using paper towels or completely new high quality washrags, the paint swirls easily. I took my car to get a $700 detailing job and they got most but not all of the swirls out and I've had the hardest time keeping it swirl free since then. That said, Infrared really does pop in the sun and at the right angles (where you don't see the swirls), it's quite stunning.

Thx autozero

I remember previously I owned an Inigoink ( dark blue)SC 430
and it was like owing a Black car, the car had 2 go through
a 2 bucket car wash and it swirl easily.

What do you guys think of the atomic silver ? That is another
color I am considering.. love the Infra red but might be too
much work

For anyone reading this in the future DO NOT use paper towels on car paint. Paper towels are abrasive on their own and will swirl a clear coat.

Haha noted. They look so smooth! But guess not!
