I owned a 2017 GS 350 F Sport - sold it to my son.

I now have a 2023 LC500 with Dynamic Package.

My LC is much more comfortable than the GS. I would choose to drive the LC long distance over the GS.

As far as Panamera goes - Do you ever have people in the back seat? If no, then the LC is the choice.

LC will be significantly cheaper to own over its life than a Porsche.

A neighbor / friend of mine has a 992 Targa 4S that we alternate taking his car and mine on our Saturday hangout lunches. His is very lightly optioned with just a couple of cosmetic upgrades. The performance of his car is unreal, on an entirely different level than the LC. The interior fit & finish feels like a mid-tier Audi product (again, it was lightly optioned). He did not do the sport exhaust upgrade, the stock exhaust is surprisingly quiet. My general impression of his car is that you're buying a high base level of performance, then you're optioning yourself into the other upgrades that would put it on par with the LC from a ride / comfort perspective. The LC500 wins hands down on comfort and build quality, especially on the lighter optioned 992's.

I don't know if the 992 has an option for adjustable dampers, his doesn't seem to have it. This, to me, is one of the big advantages of the LC500. +1 for SavageGeese being the best group of reviews on the LC500, he owns (leases) one personally and does very thorough technical and personal impression reviews on these cars. SG's best summary of the LC500 is that the car is bipolar: when you want it to be quiet and comfortable it can be. And when you want it to be sharper and louder, it can be. The 992 911 excels at one of those and is tolerable at the other.

I did a rally two years ago in my LC convertible, we did Denver to Moab on day 1 and Moab to Vegas on day 2. The convertible takes this "bipolar" to an extra level: on the road, top up, we're cruising quietly and comfortably just under triple digits. Then we get to the curvy bits, drop the top, change to Sport mode and enjoy the drive and scenery. There were two 911 coupes in our group, they didn't get to see as much of Zion Natl Park as we did.

I just traded my 2018 991.2 GTS on a new LC and I have absolutely no regrets. As another poster mentioned, long road trips are definitely not as nice in a Porsche. The car is loud on the inside and nowhere near as comfortable! Only difference is power and the 0 to 60 times, which as I get older is not as important. Another big deal is service cost. Porsche service charges are insane, especially in California. My vote is for the LC hands down!

I came from a myriad of 911's in the past and completely agree with your assessment. To be fair once you drive a HP large GT, it's hard to go back to more of a pure sports car other than for weekends etc.

The build quality and execution reminded me of the way the old Mercedes SLs used to feel. I have not driven the Panamera yet which by all accounts is a phenomenal car. Tough decision. I know I will be happy with either. I welcome comments from anyone who has compared both. Thanks
I have 2015 GS 350 F sport, and now on LC500 C. I may say it is a big difference. I still have my GS and when weather is bad driving it. After LC it fills so light. LC is a cruiser in good way, and I fill that it is kind of boring to drive it slow it is getting alive and fun after 50, and it is so easy to realize you are driving 60 in a 45 miles speed zones. Be careful and have fun

Default Amazing

I bought a 2018 LC 500 w/ 15K miles for 74K incl warranty.

it is the BEST car I’ve ever owned. Nearly flawless. It gives me such confidence and joy, and it fits me well. I love Japanese products. You can feel the engineering genius of Lexus.

Can't comment about ownership of any other type performance vehicles but I just returned from a +1100 mile trip in my LC vert, and man, what a blast. No back aches, no getting "squeezed" by traffic (just too powerful), didn't have that worn-out feeling on arrival. Drawback? Crazy gas mileage which didn't align with bathroom breaks anymore. Never did get close to 1/4 tank before having to stop. Only other issue was getting stuck on I80/90 in Ohio during the Eclipse, who would have thought so many people were interested in that event? Didn't stop to watch myself, just popped the top and let the Climate Concierge go to work.
