I want to change mine into illuminated door sills
Is it possible to easily change them, or would I need to splice into wires at any point?

I'm interested as well! Post pics or vids if anybody has them. I would maybe change the led color to red...

Why your cars are not equipped with it ?
I thought these come as a standard feature in all is 2014 .
Anyway if you can get it cheap then buy it , but don't pay 450 $ for it since it doesn't worth it .

 

I have the lexus logo door sills, just not illuminated ones. I think only the luxury package option has them, but that package isn't available on the F-Sport IS line for 2014, someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

 

i have the luxury package although i don't have the illuminate door sills, i have the non-illuminated lexus door sills like you.

i don't know what package comes with them or if they are some stand-alone option. the latter would be a rarity for lexus, though. that sort of catered customisation is left to the germans at the moment.

 

are they easy to install? the instructions per sewell look terribly difficult to one who isn't used to splicing wires and disassembling relatively large sections of the interior to install relatively small components.
